Von Maur is seeking a dependable Truck Driver to support our upscale retail operations by safely transporting merchandise between our distribution centers and stores. In this field-based role, you will operate company trucks, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and load, secure, and unload product with care. You'll maintain on-time delivery schedules that help ensure exceptional in-store customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks to transport merchandise between Von Maur locations and distribution centers Load, secure, and unload retail freight while protecting product quality and store presentation needs Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations, including pre/post-trip inspections and accurate log keeping Plan efficient routes and maintain on-time delivery schedules to support store operations and customer service Communicate professionally with store, warehouse, and logistics teams regarding deliveries and issues Maintain a clean, well-organized vehicle that reflects Von Maur's professional, upscale brand Report vehicle maintenance needs and coordinate with service providers to minimize downtime Assist with basic material handling and documentation such as bills of lading and delivery receipts Required Skills Commercial truck operation CDL driving and compliance DOT and FMCSA regulation knowledge Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Freight loading and unloading Load securement and safety Route planning and time management Use of electronic logs or driver apps Documentation and bill of lading handling Customer and store communication
