Waterloo Warehousing & Service Co., Inc. (WWSC) is hiring a full-time Local CDL Class A Truck Driver for our Waterloo-area operations. This is a home-daily union position offering competitive hourly pay, excellent benefits, and contractual wage growth. We are currently recruiting for a 1st-shift opening . Because this is a union position and shift assignments are based on seniority, the final assignment may be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Applicants should be available to work any shift. Starting Pay 1st

$27.88 per hour Contractual wage progression with $4.62+ in wage increases during the first 32 months Annual contractual wage increases Annual bonus opportunity Position Responsibilities The CDL Class A Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight while providing dependable service to WWSC customers and facilities.

Responsibilities include:

Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment Transport freight to customer and WWSC locations Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate driver records, logs, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation Verify freight and properly report shortages, overages, damages, or other discrepancies Properly secure loads and ensure freight is transported safely Follow applicable DOT regulations, company safety policies, and customer requirements Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, warehouse personnel, and supervisors Maintain assigned equipment in a safe and professional manner Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Must meet applicable DOT driver qualification requirements Acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork Strong communication skills Dependable attendance and ability to work independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous commercial driving experience preferred Haz-Mat endorsement preferred, or ability to obtain if required by the Company Benefits WWSC offers a comprehensive wage and benefits package, including: Home daily Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short-term disability insurance, 100% company paid Life insurance, 100% company paid Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance, 100% company paid Paid time off 401(k) plan with company match 11 paid holidays Annual bonus opportunity Contractual wage increases Company reimbursement for required Haz-Mat endorsement costs WWSC offers stable, full-time employment with an established local company and a team-oriented work environment focused on safety, reliability, and quality service.
