Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Semi Truck Driver and take charge of transporting freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks to ensure timely delivery of goods. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to excellent service will keep our logistics operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or other equipment while adhering to safety standards. Navigate using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Load & unload cargo efficiently at various delivery points, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including freight of different types such as refrigerated goods or tanker liquids. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers with manual handling capabilities. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklift or manual handling techniques while maintaining safety standards. Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures for various cargo types including freight, hazardous materials, or specialty loads like flatbed or tanker trucks. Strong understanding of truck driving safety protocols, including compliance with DOT regulations and hazard management procedures.
