Are you reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors? Do you enjoy dogs, staying active, and working independently? Swoop Scoop® is looking for a dependable Scoop Technician to service residential yards throughout the Spokane and Northern Idaho area. This is an active, outdoor position with lots of walking, driving, bending, and lifting . You'll spend most of your day working independently while traveling between customers' homes in a company vehicle. What You'll Do Drive a company vehicle along a scheduled daily route Remove and properly dispose of dog waste from customers' yards Provide friendly, professional customer service Complete each scheduled service accurately and efficiently Communicate with customers and the office when needed Use GPS and smartphone-based route management Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and vehicle cleanliness Follow company safety and service standards We provide your route, company vehicle, tools, equipment, supplies, GPS systems, and training. Uniform shirts and hats are provided. Employees provide their own appropriate pants, outerwear, safe footwear, and working smartphone. What to Expect This job is performed outdoors year-round and in nearly all weather conditions , including rain, snow, heat, and cold. Services may be suspended when conditions become unsafe, such as severe storms or lightning. You will also be working directly with pet waste. While tools and bags are used, applicants should be comfortable with the odors and other normal conditions associated with this type of work. You'll work independently for much of the day with limited direct supervision, so reliability and personal accountability are extremely important. Requirements Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check Comfortable driving for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Able to walk for extended periods throughout the workday Able to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable around dogs of all sizes, including large, barking, jumping, or energetic dogs Able to read and follow detailed instructions Able to communicate clearly with customers and the office Comfortable using GPS and smartphone applications Dependable, punctual, honest, and hardworking Preferred Qualifications Previous landscaping, route-based, delivery, outdoor, or physical work experience Experience working with dogs Customer service experience Experience with dogs is helpful but not required . We'll provide the training you need to succeed.
