Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Driver/Mechanic, where you'll be at the forefront of vehicle recovery and roadside assistance. This energetic role combines skilled driving with mechanical expertise to ensure vehicles are safely transported, repaired, and returned to the road. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, from passenger cars to commercial trucks, providing essential support to drivers in need while maintaining high safety standards. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery towing, to assist with vehicle transport and roadside assistance. Safely load and secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics to address immediate issues on-site. Perform vehicle inspections, mechanical diagnostics, and minor repairs using automotive repair skills to ensure safe operation. Manage customer interactions professionally, providing excellent service while explaining procedures and addressing concerns. Follow safe driving practices adhering to commercial truck driving regulations and maintain compliance with all safety standards. Assist with cargo loading & unloading activities and operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary for efficient operations. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Proven mechanic experience with strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including manual transmissions and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and minor mechanical vehicle repairs. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks. Ability to handle conflict management professionally when dealing with distressed customers or challenging situations. Experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, forklifts, and other relevant equipment required for vehicle recovery and load management.
