Job Description

Job Summary Patriot Equipment Sales & Rentals is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Lot Assistant to maintain our equipment yard and support day-to-day rental operations. In this entry-to-mid-level role, you will be responsible for staging, inspecting, cleaning, and organizing construction equipment and attachments, as well as assisting customers and delivery drivers during check-ins and check-outs. Key Responsibilities

Equipment Care & Maintenance:

Pressure wash, clean, and detail returned machinery, trailers, and attachments so they are ready for the next customer.

•

Yard Management:

Organize and stage equipment in the yard for optimal space utilization, safe access, and clear visual appeal.

•

Check-In & Check-Out:

Conduct thorough check-in/check-out inspections of returned machines, documenting fuel levels, machine hours, cleanliness, and any damage.

•

Driver & Customer Support:

Assist CDL drivers and customers with loading, unloading, and securing equipment onto trailers.

•

Basic Operational Checks:

Perform routine equipment checks, including topping off fluids (oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, fuel) and checking tire pressure or track tension.

•

Facility Upkeep:

Keep the shop, wash rack, and yard clean, safe, and free of debris or hazard spills. Requirements & Qualifications

•

Experience:

Experience operating construction equipment (skid steers, forklifts, mini-excavators) or working in a yard/warehouse environment is a plus, but entry-level candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply.

•

License:

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

•

Physical Ability:

Able to lift up to 50-70 lbs regularly, work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, and spend most of the shift standing, walking, bending, or climbing on machinery.

Skills:

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and good customer service skills. Work Schedule & Benefits

Shifts available Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional Saturday shifts depending on demand.
