Gem State Staffing - Payette is seeking a dedicated Full-Time CDL A Driver to join our team! This is a full-time, Temp-to-Hire position, with many benefits available after a short probationary period. No endorsements needed! Successful candidate must be able to safely operate and transport 53-foot trailers on assigned routes in the state of Idaho and Oregon. Responsibilities:

Haul 53-foot

Trailers:

Safely operate and transport 53-foot trailers to various destinations according to assigned routes and schedules.

Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections:

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs.

Compliance:

Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.

Safety:

Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safe transportation of goods. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.

Loading and Unloading:

Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo using a forklift as needed, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transit.

Requirements:

Valid CDL:

Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. No endorsements are required.

Experience:

At least 1 year experience driving 53-foot trailers preferred. At least 1 year experience operating a forklift and/or use of pallet jack is preferred.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo and long periods of driving.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal communication skills to interact with dispatch, clients, and team members.

Reliability:

Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
