Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Harvest Truck Driver to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty trucks and farm machinery to transport harvested crops, livestock, and equipment across the farm and surrounding areas. Duties Safely operate harvest trucks, agricultural tractors, and other heavy equipment to transport crops, livestock, and supplies within the farm premises and to external locations. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on farm machinery, including welding and equipment repair tasks to ensure optimal operation. Assist with livestock handling, animal husbandry, and animal care activities, ensuring animals are transported humanely and safely. Support manual handling tasks such as loading/unloading produce or equipment using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, equipment maintenance logs, and livestock movement documentation in compliance with safety standards in production. Collaborate with farm supervisors to coordinate transportation schedules aligned with harvesting timelines and growing cycles. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and outdoor work environments. Skills Proven experience supervising or managing teams in agricultural or farm settings. Valid forklift certification and experience operating farm machinery such as agricultural tractors and heavy equipment. Knowledge of animal care practices including livestock management, animal husbandry, equine handling, and livestock handling procedures. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair, maintenance of farm machinery, welding skills, and experience with MRO (maintenance, repair & operations). Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting using hand tools or power tools safely. Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, horticulture techniques, and growing experience in farming environments. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments combined with outdoor work experience. Basic math skills for measurements, inventory tracking, or record keeping related to farm operations. Experience with equipment maintenance routines including troubleshooting issues with farm machinery or vehicles.
