Job Description
Job Overview Rod Jackson Trucking is seeking reliable and safety-focused Intermodal Spotter Drivers to join our operations team. This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving intermodal containers on chassis throughout a rail yard using a company owned day cab. Responsibilities Operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Position containers and chassis accurately at designated locations Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Report equipment defects or maintenance concerns promptly Communicate effectively with dispatchers, yard personnel and team members Maintain and organize yard and ensure a safe traffic flow Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding commercial driving and vehicle operation Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with manual endorsement Manual transmission is required Must be at least 21 years of age 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings as mandated by state and federal regulations Ability to stand, climb and perform physical tasks associated with tractor-trailer and container inspections Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety Why Join Rod Jackson Trucking?
