Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This role requires a strong understanding of various driving techniques and the ability to handle different types of vehicles, including tippers and walking floors. A commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service is essential. Monday through Friday schedule No weekends. Responsibilities Operate various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers. Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
