We are looking for an experienced, motivated Class A CDL Truck Driver Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trucking industry and experience recruiting qualified CDL drivers. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and helping qualified Class A CDL drivers through the hiring process while providing an excellent candidate experience.

• Responsibilities
• Recruit and attract qualified Class A CDL truck drivers
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, recruiting platforms, referrals, and other recruiting channels
• Conduct phone screens and interviews with potential drivers
• Verify CDL qualifications, driving experience, employment history, and other required credentials
• Pre-qualify applicants according to company and DOT requirements
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with applicants throughout the hiring process
• Explain company pay, benefits, equipment, routes, home-time options, and other job details
• Coordinate with Safety and HR to move qualified applicants through the hiring process
• Maintain accurate applicant records and recruiting activity
• Develop new strategies to increase driver applicant volume and hiring
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers
• Follow all applicable company, DOT, and FMCSA recruiting and hiring requirements
• Meet recruiting and hiring goals established by management
• Qualifications
• Previous CDL driver recruiting experience preferred
• Knowledge of the trucking industry and Class A CDL requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively sell the company and position to prospective drivers
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills
• Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and communicating by text/email
• Experience with recruiting software, applicant tracking systems, and job boards preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
