Local commercial routes serving Champaign County area accounts Full job description Pepsi-Cola Champaign-Urbana Bottling Company is hiring a Class A CDL Route Driver/Merchandiser for local commercial delivery routes. This position is a hands-on delivery role that combines safe commercial driving, customer service, product delivery, merchandising, inventory rotation, and daily route responsibility. Drivers deliver Pepsi-Cola products to convenience stores, restaurants, retail stores, schools, and fountain accounts throughout the local market. What you will do

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle and complete daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Review route paperwork, verify load organization, and follow assigned route sequencing
• Deliver Pepsi-Cola products to commercial customer locations
• Unload product using delivery equipment such as Cool Lifts, lift gates, power jacks, and two-wheel carts
• Check in deliveries with store employees, verify orders, collect signatures, and report delivery issues
• Merchandise product in coolers, shelves, displays, syrup racks, and account back rooms
• Rotate product properly, organize back stock, and remove out-of-code or damaged product
• Return empty CO2, jug water, shells, pallets, and other route items accurately
• Maintain clean trailers, organized delivery equipment, and professional customer areas
• Handle delivery paperwork, checks, payments, handheld entries, and end-of-day route processes accurately
• Communicate with supervisors, sales team members, and customers to resolve route or account issues What we are looking for
• Valid Class A CDL with required DOT, medical, DMV, and legal clearances
• Previous delivery, route, sales, customer service, warehouse, or merchandising experience preferred
• Safe driving habits and ability to follow company, DOT, and equipment safety procedures
• Strong attendance, punctuality, dependability, and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and ability to represent Pepsi-Cola professionally in customer accounts
• Ability to manage multiple stops, route priorities, paperwork, and customer needs throughout the day
• Comfortable using handheld devices and learning route technology
• Ability to safely operate delivery equipment, including lift gate, power jack, Cool Lift, and related equipment Physical requirements
• Repeated lifting, moving, and handling of beverage products throughout the day
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds as part of normal route work
• Ability to pull loaded carts weighing up to approximately 220 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing in and out of trailers, and working in all weather conditions Driving eligibility Applicants must possess and maintain an insurable driving record.
