Job Description

MSI is seeking a Local CDL A Truck Driver to support our Transportation & Logistics operations. In this local role, you'll safely transport MSI products between distribution centers, customer locations, and ports while complying with DOT regulations. Responsibilities include performing pre/post-trip inspections, securing and handling high-value tech cargo, maintaining accurate electronic logs, and coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams. You'll represent MSI's commitment to innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction while working a predictable home-daily schedule with modern, well-maintained equipment. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor-trailers for local pick-up and delivery of MSI products Perform accurate pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and company standards Safely load, secure, and unload high-value electronics and hardware Maintain compliant electronic logs and delivery documentation Adhere to all DOT, state, and local transportation regulations Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and customers regarding routes and delivery status Follow company safety policies and report incidents or equipment issues promptly Assist with routing adjustments to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Provide professional customer service at delivery and pick-up locations Care for and report maintenance needs on assigned vehicles and equipment Required Skills CDL Class A driving Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Electronic logging devices (ELDs) DOT regulations and hours-of-service compliance Cargo securement for palletized freight Backing and maneuvering in tight spaces Local route navigation and time management Basic freight handling with pallet jacks or liftgates Defensive driving and safety practices Customer service and communication
