Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently. Perform vehicle diagnostics, basic troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs to assist with vehicle issues on-site. Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent movement during transit. Conduct safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and mechanical requirements. Assist with vehicle recovery towing, including accident scenes or breakdowns, utilizing appropriate techniques for different vehicle types. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, inspections, and mechanical repairs for record-keeping purposes. Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds or heavy-duty commercial trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and minor repairs for trucks and cars. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions is preferred. Knowledge of vehicle mechanics relevant to truck drivers and car towing operations. Ability to manage conflict situations professionally while maintaining safety standards. Prior experience in customer service roles within roadside assistance or automotive services is highly valued.
