This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the backbone of our delivery network, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods across various routes. You'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. If you're passionate about driving, manual handling, and providing top-notch delivery experiences, this position is perfect for you! Duties Safely operate Class C or B straight trucks, including box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Airport pick up and drop off. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Follow established routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure timely deliveries. Assist with warehouse operations by moving materials, organizing inventory, and supporting warehouse staff as needed. Communicate effectively using mobile devices to coordinate deliveries, update route information, and report issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods professionally, handling products carefully, and addressing customer inquiries when necessary. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with box trucks or vans, with a focus on delivery driving. Prior warehouse experience involving manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks. Familiarity with warehouse operations and safe lifting practices to prevent injury during load & unload activities. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving, weight handling in the workplace, and safe driving practices. Experience with route driving using mobile devices for navigation and communication is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail during manual handling tasks. Strong customer service skills coupled with the ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards.
