Job Description
Premium Ag Services / PAS Transport is looking for a temporary CDL driver for the upcoming fall harvest season in the Newark, Illinois area. This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to work long hours and make good money during harvest. We are looking for someone dependable who is comfortable working around agriculture and understands that harvest hours depend heavily on weather and crop conditions. Position Details Temporary/seasonal CDL driving position Approximately September through November, depending on harvest Local agricultural hauling Home daily Expect 10-14+ hour days when harvest is running Hours can vary significantly due to weather and field conditions Well-maintained company equipment Potential for additional work after harvest for the right person Requirements Valid Class A CDL Acceptable driving record Able to pass required DOT drug/alcohol screening Dependable and willing to work long hours during busy periods Comfortable operating around farms, grain facilities, and agricultural equipment Must take care of company equipment Agricultural or hopper-bottom experience is preferred, but not required for an experienced CDL driver willing to learn. Compensation Competitive harvest-season pay based on experience. This could be a great fit for a retired driver, farmer looking for additional seasonal income, or an experienced CDL driver who wants to make extra money during harvest without committing to a permanent full-time position.
