Rugby Architectural Building Products is a nationwide distributor of specialty building products with 26 locations across the U.S. Our Rockford, IL location operates as River City Millwork. The Opportunity We are growing and looking for a dependable CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team! You'll deliver pre-hung doors and other building products to our customers on local routes. This is an active driving position that includes loading and unloading products, safely completing deliveries, and providing friendly, professional service to our customers. What's in It for You?
Pay:
$28.00 per hour Local routes and home daily No weekend work Monday-Friday schedule Routes typically begin between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and end when deliveries are completed Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) Traditional and Roth options with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability Corporate wellness and longevity appreciation programs Supportive, team-oriented work environment What You'll Do Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products to our customers. Deliver pre-hung doors and other building products on local routes. Assist with loading and unloading your truck as needed. Provide professional and friendly customer service during deliveries. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and applicable DOT requirements. Attend required safety meetings and training. Safely lift, move, load, and unload products as required by the position. What We're Looking For Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) Current DOT medical card Commercial truck driving or delivery driving experience Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and handling building products Dependable, organized, and self-motivated Strong commitment to safe driving and workplace safety Ability to work an early morning schedule and remain on route until scheduled deliveries are completed Ability to successfully complete a required driving test Ability to meet applicable U.S. Department of Transportation requirements If you meet most of these qualifications and think you'd be a great addition to our team, we encourage you to apply.
