Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers to ensure timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, logistics cargo handling, and adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on long-distance OTR routes while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency across various locations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and fragile items. Transport automobile transportation loads securely, adhering to all safety standards for vehicle and cargo protection. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance needs. Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, including logs of hours driven, cargo manifests, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Possession of a valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including freight delivery and route driving across diverse terrains. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods transportation is highly desirable. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and electronic logging devices (ELDs) to track driving hours accurately. Ability to manually handle freight safely during loading/unloading processes while following safety protocols. Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations.
