Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Company Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight from Woodridge, IL to the Chicagoland area! This energetic role is perfect for motivated drivers who thrive on navigating complex logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. As a CDL A driver, you'll operate an 26ft box truck (33,000 GVW) with reefer and lift gate all while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Your expertise will keep our supply chain moving smoothly and efficiently, providing essential goods to our customers with professionalism and enthusiasm. Duties Safely operate 26ft box truck with reefer Transport freight such as refrigerated goods using appropriate handling techniques. Use GPS navigation systems to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing traffic conditions for timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or issues encountered during trips. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Proven experience in delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling procedures. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading techniques, and vehicle maintenance awareness.
