Overview Join our dynamic team as a Helper and become an essential part of our waste management operations! In this role, you will assist with the safe and efficient collection, loading, and unloading of waste materials using various commercial trucks. Whether working outdoors in all weather conditions or supporting the truck drivers, your contribution is vital to our success and sustainability initiatives. Duties Assist with loading and unloading waste materials from front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks Support truck drivers by helping to maneuver and secure loads during route driving and at disposal sites Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety protocols, including air brake systems and mechanical components Follow traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and state transportation regulations during route driving Help with heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste types Maintain cleanliness of trucks and work areas, ensuring proper load & unload procedures are followed Support safe outdoor work practices while managing municipal waste or solid waste management responsibilities in various environments Qualifications Prior experience with commercial truck driving or heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Mechanical knowledge is a plus for understanding vehicle maintenance needs Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and traffic law compliance during route driving Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred but not mandatory Join us as a Helper and be part of a dedicated team committed to efficient waste management solutions!
