Job Title:
Warehouse Driver (1st Shift) Job Description This role combines local box truck driving with hands-on warehouse work on a first shift schedule. You will load and unload box trucks, complete local deliveries, and spend a significant portion of your time in the warehouse handling inventory. In the warehouse, you will depalletize and store materials, pull parts and supply production lines, use digital systems to track inventory, and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, and occasionally a sit-down forklift. The position requires regular manual lifting up to 45 pounds, standing for the duration of the shift, and preparing short written reports when needed. A commercial drivers license (CDL) is not required, but a DOT physical and motor vehicle record (MVR) check are required. Responsibilities Load and unload box trucks safely and efficiently for local deliveries. Drive a box truck locally for a portion of the shift, maintaining a clean and safe driving record. Work in the warehouse when not driving, including depalletizing and putting inventory away in designated locations. Pull parts and materials and supply production lines according to work orders and schedules. Use computer-based inventory systems to track materials, maintain accurate records, and complete digital transactions. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, and occasionally a sit-down forklift in a safe manner. Break down cardboard boxes using appropriate cutting tools and dispose of materials according to facility procedures. Use RF scanners to scan and track inventory movements and verify shipments and receipts. Perform general warehouse tasks including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving as needed. Stand for the duration of the shift and manually lift up to 45 pounds on a regular basis. Prepare and send short written reports when requested, documenting inventory, deliveries, or other operational details. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including passing and maintaining required DOT physical and MVR standards. Essential Skills At least 1 year of box truck driving experience with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR); MVR check will be administered. At least 1 year of experience in inventory, warehouse, picking/packing, receiving, or forklift operations. Experience using RF scanners to track and manage inventory. Strong computer literacy with the ability to use digital inventory tracking systems confidently. Ability to stand for the entire shift. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds manually on a regular basis. Demonstrated reliability with at least 1 year of tenure or longevity with past employers, ideally in a warehouse role. Ability to pass a DOT physical and MVR check. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous clerk experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory environment is a plus. Experience in general labor, shipping, and receiving operations is beneficial. Comfort working in a facility that is not climate controlled. Why Work Here?
