Job Description
Job Overview Spectrum Logistics is a fast growing trucking company located in Evansville, Indiana. We are seeking full-time OTR CDL Class A drivers to join our team. This position will drive locally , regionally and OTR. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while adhering to all FMCSA safety regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence. Responsibilities:
Safely operate 53' tractor-trailers, following all DOT regulations and FMCSA Safety standards. When OTR, navigate the over-the-road routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules. Load, secure, and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Transport various types of freight in the box truck. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Any concerns, notify on staff mechanics. Manage documentation accurately for load tracking, delivery receipts, and compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and resolve route or cargo issues promptly.Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license with no major infraction for 3 years in commercial truck. Must be at least 21 years of age. At least 3+ years of experience. Must have clean Clearinghouse. Current DOT Medical Certificate. Proven experience with with 53' tractor trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and regulations. All trucks are automatic. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Knowledge of proper use of E-logs. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, load securing techniques, and freight safety standards. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling expertise, and route driving efficiency.EEO Statement:
