Job Description

A CDL Driver (A or B) will drive a Bobtail propane delivery truck and fill tanks for local residential and industrial customers at their site. Will also make deliveries to local companies. Must be 21 years of age, CTEP certified (preferred), have a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements. Experience with tank installation and service is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely operate a propane bobtail Make deliveries to customer's homes and provide them with timely and safe propane deliveries Provide friendly courteous, and professional service to customers Perform safety checks on company and customer equipment through visual examination before dispensing propane Respond to and follow out of gas procedures Follow routine and time schedule Follow DOT regulations and safety standards General tank maintenance (leveling, painting, etc.) Purge propane tanks Complete Pre-Trip/Post-Trip procedures Perform general maintenance on truck, including but not limited to checking oil and fuel levels
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A or B Driver License with Tank and Hazmat endorsements CTEP certified, preferred Must be reliable, diligent, dependable Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions Ability to effectively utilize maps, locate addresses Physically capable of using equipment to load and unload bobtail Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses weighing up to 50 lbs Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test Propane Delivery experience is a plus
