Flooring Delivery & Warehouse Driver Position The Flooring Delivery & Warehouse Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting flooring materials from the warehouse to commercial jobsites, unloading and organizing materials at the warehouse, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, and assisting with moving flooring materials into jobsites. This position requires someone who is dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Delivery & Jobsite Support Safely operate company delivery trucks to transport flooring materials, tools, and supplies to commercial jobsites. Load and secure flooring materials properly to prevent damage during transportation. Deliver materials to jobsites according to scheduled delivery times. Safely unload flooring materials at jobsites and move materials into designated areas within the building. Assist flooring installation crews by moving, staging, and distributing materials throughout the jobsite as needed. Communicate professionally with project managers, customers, general contractors, and jobsite personnel. Verify delivery quantities and materials against packing lists or work orders. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials promptly. Warehouse Responsibilities Unload incoming trucks and shipments safely and efficiently. Receive, inspect, and organize flooring materials upon arrival. Maintain an organized warehouse and ensure materials are stored properly. Keep aisles, loading areas, and work areas clean and free of hazards. Pull and stage materials for upcoming deliveries and jobsites. Assist with inventory organization and material counts. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other material-handling equipment. Assist with loading trucks for daily deliveries. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of company vehicles, warehouse equipment, and work areas. Material Handling Safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move flooring materials of various sizes and weights. Use proper lifting and material-handling techniques. Work safely when moving materials through doorways, elevators, stairs, hallways, and active construction areas. Take care to prevent damage to flooring materials, buildings, walls, and finished surfaces. Work effectively in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions. Qualifications Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Previous delivery, warehouse, construction, flooring, or material-handling experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a delivery truck and basic warehouse equipment. Ability to lift and move heavy flooring materials repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to work in construction environments and around jobsite hazards. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional attitude and good communication skills. Willingness to help wherever needed to support the warehouse, delivery, and installation teams. Physical Requirements This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to: Lift and carry heavy flooring materials. Push and pull carts and material-handling equipment. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods. Safely maneuver materials through commercial buildings and jobsites. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Repeatedly load and unload trucks throughout the workday. Safety Expectations Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Follow jobsite safety requirements and OSHA standards. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Properly secure all loads before transportation. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, damaged materials, or equipment issues immediately.
