Core Responsibilities Safe operation and proper use of the Yard Truck while moving trailers to and from loading docks. Ability to safely navigate in tight spaces. Forklift certified or able to be certified, to move products on CHEP Pallets onto and off trailers and into storage racks. Preform daily inspection of equipment, timely reporting of any issues to management, preventive maintenance. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of trailer movement and condition. Communicate and coordinate with truck drivers, staff and management to ensure smooth and safe operation. Able to climb in and out of vehicles and other material handling equipment frequently. Open to working in various outdoor climates. The ability to work a second shift schedule with an extended schedule at times (vacations) and on short notice (call out). Ability to work weekends when required. Utilize good housekeeping and GMP standards. Consistent attendance. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English. English is needed to carry out the following tasks: (1) read and understand procedure manuals, signs and box labels; (2) work with warehouse computer systems; (3) complete written documents relating to company procedures; and (4) communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors about day-to-day operations. Previous yard spotter/jockey experience helpful but not required. OTR experience is helpful but not required.
