Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Over the Road Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves long-distance transportation of goods using various types of trucks, including flatbeds, and tankers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively while ensuring timely deliveries. Home on the week-ends! Sign On Bonus!! Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer units for long-haul routes across various distances. Load and unload freight efficiently and safely, ensuring proper handling of all materials. Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as per DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any issues encountered on the road. Utilize manual transmission when required for specific loads or driving conditions. Assist in the operation of specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks when necessary. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly in over-the-road (OTR) environments. Familiarity with operating flatbeds, tankers, and other types of freight vehicles. Experience as a delivery driver is preferred; knowledge of load & unload procedures is essential. Strong understanding of route driving and freight management practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and functionality.
