Job Description

Job Overview - Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience required for consideration. We're seeking a dedicated, full‑time Paralegal to join our team in person. Our practice is heavily anchored in Family Law (approximately 55% of our caseload), alongside a robust docket of trusts, estate administration, and civil litigation. We operate at a fast, litigation-driven pace and manage by results. Excellence in organization, strict attention to detail under tight court deadlines, multitasking, and a highly professional client demeanor are essential. We provide a modern, supportive, and accommodating environment, but we expect our team members to take true ownership of their tasks. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to our attorneys across all facets of family law, estate planning, and litigation:
Family Law Case Management:
Assist with all stages of divorce, paternity, custody, and child support matters. This includes drafting initial pleadings, financial declarations, discovery requests/responses, and preparing exhibits for contested hearings.
Trust & Estate Administration:
Assist with probate filings, trust funding, asset marshaling, preparing accountings, gathering client documentation, and coordinating with external financial advisors.
Document Preparation:
Prepare and review estate planning initial documents (trusts, wills, powers of attorney) and real estate transfer documents (including Transfer on Death Deeds) using precise statutory language.
Indiana E-Filing & Court Systems:
Manage electronic filing procedures seamlessly across Indiana state courts, keeping a sharp eye on critical court-ordered deadlines.
Essential Administrative Support:
Manage busy litigation calendars, schedule client meetings and formal signing appointments, handle incoming mail, and maintain flawless physical and electronic client files. Family law and active litigation mean you must be comfortable shifting focus when interrupted by urgent, time-sensitive client crises or court matters. We value adaptability and sharp execution. We explicitly leverage our paralegal team to handle heavy, precise administrative drafting and file organization so that our attorneys can focus on high-level litigation and courtroom advocacy. You are a critical backbone of our firm's daily operations.
Qualifications Experience & Knowledge:
At least 3 years of prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, with a strong background in family law litigation and/or probate/estate planning is
REQUIRED
Tech-Savvy Skillset:
Highly fluent in legal tech tools, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and modern document management/billing systems.
Flawless Communication:
Strong, empathetic, yet professional written and verbal communication skills. You must feel confident handling direct inquiries from clients going through high-stress life transitions. Attention to
