Job Description
TransForce Inc. seeks professional CDL A drivers for local, home-daily routes in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. In this role, you'll safely operate late-model equipment on scheduled routes, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and follow all DOT and company safety standards. Drivers manage accurate logs and delivery paperwork, communicate with dispatch and customers, and ensure secure, on-time freight handling. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer for local, home-daily routes hauling freight for regional customers Conduct and document thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure DOT and company safety compliance Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Trans Force safety standards at all times Maintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and electronic records using company and customer systems Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and yard staff regarding routes, delays, and issues Secure loads correctly using approved methods; verify counts and condition of freight at pickup and delivery Report equipment defects, incidents, and safety concerns promptly for timely resolution Support efficient dock and yard operations by following schedules, procedures, and routing instructions Required Skills CDL A truck driving Local route navigation DOT regulations compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Freight loading and securement Time management and scheduling Basic customer service and communication Paperwork and delivery documentation Safety procedures and incident reporting
