About the Role We're looking for a Batch Plant Driver who knows what it takes to keep materials moving and support a plant running at production pace. This isn't a seat-filler role—you are directly responsible for safely transporting materials, supporting plant operations, preventing downtime, and helping the batch plant team hit daily targets. If you've worked around batch plants, you already know: when materials aren't where they need to be, everything behind it suffers. We need someone who takes ownership of that. This is a traveling position supporting mobile batch plants across Louisiana and Texas. You'll move with the work, support plant setups and tear-downs, and be part of a crew that expects consistency and reliability. Per diem is provided when working away from home in accordance with company policy. Key Responsibilities Driving & Material Transport Safely transport materials and equipment as needed to support batch plant operations Keep materials moving efficiently to prevent gaps or delays in production Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues promptly Operate vehicles safely around active batch plants, heavy equipment, and field crews Maintain accurate awareness of loads, materials, and delivery locations Plant Support Support the Batchman and plant team with daily production needs Assist with plant setup, tear-down, and relocation Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Monitor materials and communicate shortages or issues before they impact production Complete basic housekeeping and other plant support duties as needed Equipment & Maintenance Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition Flag mechanical, equipment, material, or safety issues early Follow proper loading, unloading, and material-handling procedures Safety Follow OSHA/MSHA and company standards—no exceptions Drive and operate vehicles safely in a high-activity production environment Stay alert and aware around heavy equipment, trucks, and plant operations Participate in safety meetings and take them seriously Qualifications Required Clean driving record Proven commercial driving experience Willingness to travel and relocate with projects Ability to work outdoors in all conditions Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working around heavy equipment Must pass drug screening Preferred Batch plant, quarry, concrete, or heavy civil construction experience Experience driving in and around active construction sites Experience supporting mobile batch plants OSHA 10/30 or equivalent What We're Looking For Drivers who understand production pressure and respond to it People who take ownership instead of waiting for direction Strong communication with batch plant and field crews Safe, dependable drivers who understand that their job directly impacts production Reliable performers—this team depends on consistency Why Gregory Construction?
