Job Description

Overview B&J Specialty is seeking a professional and safety conscious individual with a chauffeur license. We offer competitive pay, great benefits and our drivers are home every night! As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely deliveries, maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and uphold the highest standards of manual handling and cargo safety. Responsibilities Safe and responsible operation of box truck and flatbed transportation Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to safety standards. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking load security, fluid levels, brakes, tires, and lights. Skills Familiarity with trailers, flatbed trucks, and automobile transportation methods. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning and execution. Experience in truck loading/unloading procedures involving logistics cargo handling for freight movement. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over long distances on OTR routes.
