Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The position of Crew Member/Driver will provide labor and driving support to one of our growing divisions: landscaping, mowing, or design build. Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower
- Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches
- Plant and maintain flower beds
- Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects
- Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris on to the turf before mowing.
- Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing.
- Perform basic, preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment
- Properly remove trash, dead plants, etc. from landscape
- Install plantings per provided plans
- Assist in the installation of paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, stairs, outdoor kitchens, and firepits
- Perform excavation, grading, and preparation for hardscape projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
- Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader or Manager as appropriate
REQUIREMENTS
- Insurable driver's license
- Daily transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift/carry 40+ pounds consistently
- Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Preference for candidates with experience pulling a trailer
- Willing to work flexible hours to fit the needs of the company
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
- $19.00/hour, with the ability to move up to $22.00/hour with proven ability to drive a truck pulling a trailer
