Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver specializing in hopper bottom transportation! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to operate specialized heavy-duty trucks, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of bulk materials across diverse routes. As a key player in our logistics network, you will be responsible for navigating over-the-road (OTR) routes, handling freight with precision, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks equipped with hopper bottom trailers for transporting bulk commodities such as agricultural products or construction materials Navigate using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across assigned routes, including OTR driving routes Load and unload freight efficiently, adhering to proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling standards Manage the transportation of refrigerated trailers when required, ensuring cargo integrity during transit Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory standards Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure truck safety and compliance with DOT regulations Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers such as hopper bottom, flatbed, or tanker trailers Demonstrated ability to handle freight logistics cargo handling, including load & unload operations and truck loading/unloading procedures Familiarity with route driving and delivery driving across diverse geographic locations, including OTR routes Knowledge of manual transmission operation and experience with manual handling techniques for freight management Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to hazardous materials (Hazmat) when applicable Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods transportation Experience in automobile transportation or delivery driver roles is a plus but not mandatory Join us to drive your career forward in a fast-paced environment that rewards dedication and safety!
