Job Description

We are a leader in the towing and recovery industry. We are Wichita's Original Towing & Recovery Service with more than 47 years in business! We pride ourselves in providing efficient service and a quick response. Our customer's satisfaction is our top priority. We are looking for a dedicated, team oriented, and safe operator for a 5 day work week. We are hiring Tow Truck Operators who are committed to providing safety, security, and peace of mind to our customers.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to calls dispatched in a safe, timely, and professional manner: free of accidents, injuries, and damage.
  • Operate trucks in a secure manner consistent with company policies and procedures and in adherence with applicable local, state and US Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Review assignments for location of service regardless of type and obtain vehicle information including make, model, color, & VIN
  • Load and unload vehicles from transport truck by use of winch, chains, blocks, & hydraulic/ electric controls
  • Secure vehicles and vehicle parts with chains, straps or other safe means
  • Complete and submit all required documentation associated with transport
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Maintain appearance and functionality of assigned service vehicle.
  • Operate service vehicles in a safe and lawful manner.
  • Effectively communicate using digital devices and dedicated GPS/Dispatch applications in a manner compliant with FCC rules and company guidelines.
  • Adhere to all departmental safety guidelines and all local/state/federal driving laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
  • Successfully pass drug tests in compliance with Company Policy, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Company's contractual requirements
  • Must submit to and pass complete background check as per Company policy and Company's contractual requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record (a CDL is preferred, but not required)
  • Proficiency in both Roll Back and Wheel Lift type trucks preferred
  • Ability to interact with courtesy, sympathy, understanding, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Possess strong ethics - treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust in others, works with integrity and upholds organizational values
  • Team work - Exhibits objectivity and openness to other's views, give and welcomes feedback, contributes to building positive morale
  • Must be able to work weekends, and any other shift as needed
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and provide clear instructions

A valid driver's license is required for this position.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$800.00 - $1,200.00 per week
