Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over various distances while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle, following all state and federal regulations
- Transport goods over intercity or interstate routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate driving logs and records
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays, issues, or changes in delivery schedule
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving
- Familiarity with regional lanes and refrigerated trailers
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair for minor issues on the road
- Experience with tractor-trailer units and heavy equipment operation
