Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to reach destinations on time while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety Transport various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, tankers, and other freight types with precision and care Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory standards Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any unforeseen issues during transit Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially in delivery driving and route driving across long distances Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the cargo transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable) Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT rules, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently and perform manual handling tasks safely Experience with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling procedures Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading processes and freight management procedures Join us today to drive your career forward!
