Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class B-Tandem Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate tandem trucks with a Class B commercial driver's license (CDL), specializing in transporting cargo across various routes. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure timely and safe deliveries. Duties Safely operate tandem trucks , ensuring compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations during all driving activities. Drive routes, delivering freight efficiently to multiple destinations while maintaining optimal route navigation using GPS systems. Load and unload freight following proper manual handling procedures. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, adhering to logistics cargo handling standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for all freight transported. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered on the road. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus customer service. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery routes across diverse locations. Ability to handle trucks confidently and perform truck loading/unloading tasks safely. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe operation of tractor-trailers over long distances. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures. Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
