Job Description

T&R Construction is a local civil construction company looking to add CDL Truck Drivers to the team! Our drivers haul various aggregates to and from quarries as well as job sites. The work is local and our drivers are home every night. Job Requirements Experience driving semi-trucks with end-dump trailers Experience driving straight truck Properly follow all company policies and procedures Report any problems to shop mechanic or manager right away Perform daily pre/post trip inspections in compliance with DOT guidelines Follow dispatch instruction at all times Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle. Load and unload equipment or materials. Assure product quality to the best of the driver's ability Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment as needed Must keep truck in clean and orderly condition at all times Driver will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements Properly follow all company policies and
OSHA / MSHA
regulations Follow directions of manager for daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite Perform general labor duties when necessary Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check Display a professional /courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times Report to work at the designated start time Be able to work overtime when needed Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA. Maintain current driver's license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A. Be at least age 18 years of age. Education/Experience Minimum of High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Previous related experience in the construction field is preferred. Experience hauling or moving heavy equipment is a plus!! Most of our fleet trucks are automatic, but experience with manual is a plus!
