Drivers are responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading fuel while complying with all DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, environmental, and company safety requirements. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and personal responsibility. Drivers are expected to protect company equipment and product, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with store personnel and the transportation team. Essential Job Functions 1. Safely Transport and Deliver Petroleum Products Operate commercial tanker equipment to safely load, transport, and deliver refined petroleum products to company locations while following established routes, procedures, and safety requirements. 2. Safely Load and Unload Fuel Products Follow proper procedures when loading and unloading petroleum products, including verifying products, quantities, tanks, and delivery locations to help prevent spills, cross-drops, and other delivery errors. 3. Inspect and Maintain Commercial Equipment Perform required pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections. Identify and promptly report equipment, vehicle, or safety concerns to help maintain safe and reliable equipment. 4. Maintain DOT and Regulatory Compliance Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports, fuel delivery documentation, and other required records while complying with DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, environmental, and company requirements. 5. Promote Safety, Accuracy, and Professionalism Follow company safety procedures during loading, transportation, and delivery while protecting employees, customers, company assets, equipment, product, and the environment. Maintain professional communication with store personnel and the transportation team. 6. Perform Other Duties as Assigned Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support transportation operations and company business needs. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required. Acceptable driving record required. Experience operating commercial tanker equipment preferred. Experience hauling liquid products preferred; refined petroleum experience is a plus. Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, Hazmat, and commercial vehicle safety requirements. Strong commitment to safe driving and safe fuel handling practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete required documentation. Dependable attendance and ability to work independently. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of loading and unloading fuel. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Location This position is based in Salina, Kansas. Drivers are home daily with no scheduled overnight routes.
