Job Description
Job Overview Seeking a Class A CDL Driver to run regional hopper loads. Home on weekends and most nights of the week! Pay varies on Job Dedication and Hauled Loads!! Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with hopper bottom trailers, ensuring compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Drive across designated routes using GPS navigation systems, maintaining accurate logs of mileage, delivery times, and cargo details. Transport freight including dry bulk materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal operation throughout each shift. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks. Proficiency in manual transmission driving and handling hopper bottom trailers. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems efficiently for route planning and navigation. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, to ensure safety compliance. Experience in loading & unloading of bulk commodity in Hopper Bottom. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
