Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-equipped Landoll trailers, including flatbeds, across locat routes and some long-distance OTR routes. Load and unload equipment with precision, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimal routes while maintaining compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered on the road. Qualifications Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for tractor-trailer operation. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers. Familiarity with equipment & container transportation is a plus. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries. Ability to manually handle cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment. Understanding of trucking regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols. Experience with load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading, and logistics cargo handling. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits on over-the-road routes.
