Job Description

McLane Company, Inc., a leader in grocery and foodservice distribution, is hiring CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to support our wholesale and restaurant customers. In this role, you will safely operate a CDL A truck on local and regional routes, delivering palletized and hand-unloaded product to convenience stores, chain restaurants, and retailers. You'll perform pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, use ELDs and handheld technology, and provide professional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A delivery truck to transport grocery and foodservice products to customer locations on assigned routes Load, unload, and verify products using pallet jacks, lift gates, and handheld technology Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations, including pre- and post-trip inspections Provide professional, courteous service to customers and resolve basic delivery issues Accurately complete delivery logs, manifests, and electronic documentation Work closely with dispatch, warehouse, and routing teams to maintain on-time deliveries Secure loads and maintain clean, organized truck and equipment Report vehicle defects, incidents, and delivery problems promptly to supervisors Required Skills CDL A truck driving Local route delivery DOT safety compliance Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Load securement Use of pallet jacks and lift gates Electronic logging devices (ELD) Handheld delivery/scan systems Time management and routing Customer service
