Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Portable Toilet Route Driver and become a vital part of our outdoor sanitation services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver, service, and pick up portable toilets across designated routes. Your expertise in adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service will ensure smooth operations and satisfied clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and contribute to community health and sanitation. Responsibilities Safely operate various commercial trucks, following all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Load, unload, clean, and service portable toilets at multiple customer sites while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to route schedules and traffic laws to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic mechanical checks, and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal truck performance. Load and secure portable units properly using manual lifting techniques or mechanical equipment. Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling chemicals used in sanitation processes. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and ensuring their satisfaction with our services. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, cleaning schedules, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with safety protocols. Good time management skills. Qualifications Proven experience driving commercial trucks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols for outdoor work environments. Mechanical knowledge related to truck operation and basic maintenance procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while loading or unloading portable units or equipment. Excellent driving skills with a focus on defensive driving techniques to ensure safety on the road. Prior delivery driver experience or route driving familiarity is highly desirable. Knowledge of solid waste management practices and municipal waste regulations is a plus. Commitment to safety protocol adherence and hazard awareness when handling potentially hazardous materials used in sanitation services.
