Mon-Fri or Wed-Sun (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) | Includes rotating on-call shifts Position Overview Chalmette Amusement is seeking a trustworthy, punctual, and reliable Route Collector to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required—we will train the right candidate! Because we operate in the regulated gaming industry, this position requires a high level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and strict adherence to company policies and state gaming regulations. Compensation & Perks Competitive Base Pay On-Call Bonus Pay:
Earn an additional $525 per week during your rotating on-call service shifts (required 1 week out of every 4 weeks).
Company Vehicle Provided:
For all route and service travel during work hours.
Securely empty, count, and record all cash and meter readings from video poker and amusement equipment across your assigned route.
Independent Operations:
Complete daily route collections, video poker cash drops, ATM loads, and minor technical resolutions without direct supervision.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on route equipment and notify management of supply shortages, malfunctions, or unusual occurrences.
On-Call & Service Support:
Respond to after-hours service calls during your scheduled on-call week to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
Team Assistance:
Assist the Technical Supervisor with larger equipment repairs and coordinated machine moves.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check .
Driving Record:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no history of DWIs or major traffic violations) to operate company vehicles.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for 1-2 hours continuously and regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds .
Core Skills:
Basic math, reading, writing, and reasoning skills, plus confidence using basic hand tools. Preferred Qualities & Plus Skills Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking abilities. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion. Experience repairing Jukeboxes, Pool Tables, or Video Gaming Devices is a major plus. Forklift operation experience is a plus.
