Associated Terminals is a world-leading cargo handling company, renowned for its safety, efficiency, and knowledgeable team. We are committed to providing the highest level of services for cargo shippers, vessel owners, and other service providers in the maritime industry. We are currently seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team of dedicated stevedores. In this role, you will operate and maintain various equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of cargoes. This position requires rotational shift work in a marine environment. Operate and maintain assigned equipment such as Track hoe, front-end loader, bobcat, etc. Transport various cargoes to ship and barge holds, deck, and dock areas while navigating around other equipment and personnel. Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance of equipment. Act as a signalman for other equipment operators and crane operators. Perform all required deckhand duties. Complete daily inspection reports and forward to maintenance as needed. Support company safety initiatives and report all incidents through company's reporting protocol. Experience in a similar position in an industrial setting (preferred). Working Experience in the stevedore industry (preferred). Ability to safely operate assigned equipment. Ability to operate heavy equipment within a confined space. Thorough knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs. Thorough knowledge of personal safety programs. Proficiency in equipment and deck operations. Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely. Demonstrated safe work practices, history, and leadership ability.
