This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tanker trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. You'll be the vital link between our company and our customers, providing exceptional service while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate box trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tanker trucks, on regional routes across designated territories Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of load & unload activities and route records Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and compliance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with manual transmission vehicles Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and freight management Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker operations, and automobile transportation is highly desirable Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods Ability to use GPS navigation systems accurately to follow over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in tractor-trailer operation preferred Physical ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely; experience with manual handling techniques required Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and customers effectively Join us as a regional box truck driver and become an essential part of our logistics network!
