Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Duties Safely operate dump trucks with manual transmission to transport construction materials, debris, or other freight to designated locations. Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Drive along specified routes, adhering to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure timely deliveries. Inspect trucks daily for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire condition, and safety features before and after each shift. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes traveled, and materials transported for reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate schedules and address any delivery issues promptly. Assist with loading or securing freight on flatbed or tanker trailers as required for specific loads. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely. Familiarity with different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and freight containers. Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for freight delivery. Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment; ability to handle freight securely. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and defensive driving skills. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
