Job Description

CDL Class B Delivery Driver with Hazmat Join a growing, stable company offering local routes, consistent hours, and strong benefits. Gas and Supply is the region's largest independent distributor of welding, safety, and industrial supplies, as well as a top national distributor of industrial, medical, and cryogenic gases. Records deliveries and pick-ups on hand-held scanner or on a load manifest sheet and obtains signatures from customers for receipt purposes. Listens to and resolves service inquiries and complaints. Loads and unloads trucks. Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order. Maintains neat, clean and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner.

Job Duties:

Load and unload high pressure industrial gas, medical or cryogenic cylinders safely at customer sites or at our facility. Use company handhelds to maintain ELD, pre-trip inspection and post trip inspections. Communicate face to face with customers and fellow employees to help answer questions and provide a suitable solution. Maintain manifest and all other vehicle documents to maintain compliance with all Federal and State regulations. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Class B CDL driver's license with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements. Must be 21 years old. Current Medical Examiner's Card. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; Frequent bending. Must be able to work occasional overtime. Retail local delivery route experience strongly desired Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
