Joel Catering and Special Events Metairie, LA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Moving Driver's License Delivery driving Warehouse operations Truck loading and unloading Commercial driving Event customer service Full Job Description Joel Catering & Special Events | Greater New Orleans Area Part-Time with Opportunity to Grow into Full-Time Evening & Weekend Availability Required Joel Catering & Special Events is looking for a dependable, hands-on Event Logistics Driver to join our operations team. This role is more than driving. You'll help load and unload trucks, deliver food and event equipment, assist with setup and breakdown, and work alongside our event and culinary teams to make sure each event is ready to go. The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to grow into full-time as our event volume increases. Responsibilities Safely operate company box trucks and other fleet vehicles Deliver and pick up food, beverages, equipment, rentals, and event supplies Load, unload, organize, and secure items for transport Assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site logistics Maintain clean and organized trucks and loading areas Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns Work closely with our production, venue, and culinary teams Represent Joel Catering professionally at venues and events Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred Comfortable driving in the Greater New Orleans area Able to safely lift and move event equipment as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and organized Evening and weekend availability required Flexible availability for event schedules, including some early mornings and holidays Ability to meet company driver approval and motor vehicle record requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening CDL Class A or B is a plus, but not required. This is a great fit for someone with experience in catering, events, logistics, moving, warehousing, beverage distribution, or delivery who enjoys staying active and working as part of a team.
