Position Summary The Delivery Driver / Merchandiser is responsible for the safe delivery, merchandising, stocking, rotation, display execution, and customer service of Coca-Cola products within assigned accounts. This position combines the responsibilities of a delivery driver and retail merchandiser to ensure products are delivered, stocked, displayed, and available for sale according to company standards. This role serves as a frontline representative of Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Minden and is critical to maintaining customer satisfaction, product availability, and marketplace execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivery Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Deliver products to assigned customer accounts according to scheduled routes. Verify quantities and product types against invoices. Unload products and transport them into customer locations. Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery documentation. Account for all product, invoices, credits, and company assets. Merchandising Responsibilities Stock shelves, coolers, displays, and back stock areas. Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures. Build and maintain displays according to company standards. Face and organize products to maximize visibility and sales. Remove damaged, expired, or unsaleable products. Install point-of-sale materials and promotional signage. Maintain clean and organized product areas. Account Service Responsibilities Service customer accounts during each delivery. Work all assigned back stock. Ensure shelves, coolers, and displays are fully stocked before leaving. Communicate customer concerns and sales opportunities to Account Managers. Develop positive relationships with store personnel and management. Identify opportunities for additional displays and equipment placements. Inventory Management Verify inventory levels at each account. Replenish shelves and displays from back stock. Report out-of-stock conditions. Monitor product freshness and code dates. Ensure proper product rotation. Equipment Management Stock and organize company-owned coolers. Verify cooler compliance and product assortment. Report equipment service issues immediately. Ensure all equipment remains clean and presentable. Safety Responsibilities Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Use proper lifting and material handling procedures. Follow company cell phone and distracted driving policies. Report accidents, injuries, and safety concerns immediately. Wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment. Daily Duties Complete pre-trip inspection. Load and secure product if required. Deliver products to assigned accounts. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays. Work all assigned back stock. Rotate product. Build displays as assigned. Verify pricing and promotional execution. Obtain customer signatures. Complete route paperwork and handheld transactions. Complete post-trip inspection. Valid Class A CDL. Current DOT Medical Card. Acceptable driving record. Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to use handheld technology and route software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds. Occasionally move products exceeding 100 pounds with proper equipment. Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles throughout the workday. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Accurate delivery of customer orders. Completion of all assigned merchandising duties. Working all assigned back stock before leaving an account. Maintaining Coca-Cola merchandising standards. Protecting company assets and equipment. Maintaining positive customer relationships. Following all company policies and management directives.
Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
