Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and various types of heavy equipment to move, load, and transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris to and from job sites. This position requires a dependable individual with experience in construction, excavation, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate dump trucks to haul and deliver materials to designated locations. Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, backhoes, and skid steers as needed. Inspect trucks and equipment daily for safe operation and report maintenance or mechanical issues. Load and unload materials safely while ensuring even weight distribution and load security. Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies at all times. Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip tickets, and load documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and team members. Assist with general labor and site maintenance duties when necessary.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL (Class A or B) with clean driving record required. Minimum [5] years of experience operating dump trucks and/or heavy equipment preferred. Knowledge of construction sites, material handling, and job site safety practices. Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as needed. Ability to sit, stand, bend, and climb in and out of vehicles frequently. Tolerance for outdoor work in variable weather and terrain conditions.
